Laundry Room...Continued

We are still working in the laundry room...the pot lights are in, the drywall has been mudded and sanded (what a messy job), and the ceiling and walls are primed and ready to be painted.  Hopefully the painting will take place soon so we can get the counter and cupboards in...did I mention that I am doing a beach theme...will post the final reveal soon...

Laundry Room Remodel

We are smack in the middle of doing our laundry room remodel...just before Christmas the electric dryer went then the hot water tank went, then the laundry sink started leaking...all in the span of 2 days...I think the remodelling gods were screaming at me to put to use all the new laundry room items we had purchased over the past couple of years...I listened and now here we are...

Bathroom Remodel

This is where the vanity is now...

In-floor heating...I highly recommend it 

 

The floor is now ready for tile...we did porcelain tile from Lowes...the orange waffle stuff is Schluter Ditra which is an uncoupling membrane for underneath tiles...(also waterproof)

Pay no attention to the deodorant and soap on the counter...this is the Hubby's bathroom

The "remodelling" part of this blog...

I put "remodelling" as a subheading for this blog because for the past 6 months we have been working on the bathroom and now the laundry room.  All out of necessity!  The bathroom shower wasn't waterproofed thus went mouldy.  Needless to say we gutted the whole thing, made a mud bed (you can google it, I didn't know what it was either), waterproofed it with Schluter, tiled it and while we were at it re-tiled the rest of the bathroom floor with a floor heater underneath.  This was a ton of work but it turned out beautiful.  I will add pics as soon as possible.

Rustic Dresser

How it all began....

These pics are from the early days...I love before and afters...this chair had great bones but dreadful fabric...I stripped away the old, yucky upholstery, sanded the wood, painted it black, added new batting and fabric.  After this was done I came across a picture of Don Cherry with this same fabric as a suit jacket...what a coincidence.

French Chic Side Table

Here is my version of French Chic...it is painted in French White home made milk paint and waxed for protection...I applied beautiful French typography courtesy of the Graphics Fairy....I also added 3 new knobs.
